Description

The RN provides compassionate care demonstrating the five basic caring processes in all interactions with patients and their families. The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame providing care to his/her assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, taking a leadership role in prioritizing and coordinating care with other health care team members. The RN provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

• Provide compassionate care using the nursing process for a designated group of patients within the operating room setting.
• Prioritize and coordinate care with other health care team members in collaboration with the patient and family.
• Deliver care to patients across the life span, including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a School of Nursing program.
• Minimum Experience: Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• For Surgical Services: ACLS, PALS, CNOR certification preferred.
• For New Hires: Required certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.
• ACLS: is required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed.
• Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
