Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Las Cruces, New Mexico

Key Job Details – Med/Surg Telemetry RN

• Location:
  
  Las Cruces, NM 88011 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – October 20, 2025)
• Unit:
  Telemetry/Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) – Trauma Level IV
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:30 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement:
  Every other weekend/as needed
• Floating:
  May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Electronic Health Record:
  Meditech
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800–$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIHSS (must be valid prior to start)
• Experience providing clinical support to all age groups
• Completion of New Mexico Department of Health fingerprint/background check (14-day waiver available for start)
• Compliance with facility dress code (scrub color: any; no casual wear)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Telemetry/Med-Surg unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for clinical accuracy
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge planning, and post-hospital care
• Accurately document all patient care activities in Meditech EHR
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as required
