Join Lifepoint Health® as a Charge Nurse (RN) in our 19‑bed Emergency Room located on the 1st floor. You’ll work with a dedicated team maintaining a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio and delivering exceptional care in a dynamic environment.

Department/Unit Summary
Our ER is a 19‑bed unit on the 1st floor staffed by RNs, Nurse Externs, Paramedics, EMTs, MAs, CNAs, Phlebotomists, Pharmacists, and Providers. Services include cardiac, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, stroke, trauma, bariatric, and the only Pediatric and PICU in Southern New Mexico. The unit handles an average daily volume of approximately 108 patients.
How You'll Contribute
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services.
- Educate patients and families, advocate for patient rights, and address concerns promptly to ensure high‑quality service.
- Demonstrate leadership by supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold ethical standards, and adapt to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.

Qualifications And Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- CEN preferred
- Experience in an acute care facility preferred
- ER experience required
