ResponsibilitiesThe RN provides compassionate care demonstrating the five basic caring processes in all interactions with patients and their families. The RN encourages and recognizes colleagues who exemplify the vision and principles of Relationship-Based Care. As MMC team members, we hold each other and ourselves accountable to our Standards of Excellence in everything we do.
The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame, providing care to his/her assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, taking a leadership role in prioritizing and coordinating care with other health care team members. The RN provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Qualifications- Minimum Education:
Graduate of a School of Nursing program. - Minimum Experience:
Experience in an acute care facility preferred. - For New Hires:
Required certification must be obtained within one year of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. - ACLS: required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed.
- Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
