Job SummaryLa Clinica de Familia is seeking a visionary and experienced Early Head Start Director to lead our Early Head Start program and our family services. This leadership role will be responsible for following all Head Start Program Performance Standards, Head Start Act, Healthy Start Bookmarks and Performance Measures, Federal and State regulations to successfully accomplish agency and program goals. The director will collaborate with leadership and administrative staff to develop and manage program budgets, grants and funding proposals.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Working knowledge of nonprofit and federally funded programs.
- Working knowledge of health delivery systems (preferred).
- Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, especially the ability to guide and motivate staff.
- Ability to plan, develop and execute business plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team‑building skills.
- High degree of organization and analytical ability.
- Strong ability as a team player to receive and provide feedback and manage dynamic interchange in meetings.
- Ability to develop and manage a budget.
- Working knowledge of computers including MS Word and use of spreadsheets.
- Grant writing experience is required.
- Must have knowledge/competency on the following areas:
- Pregnancy & early parenthood
- Infant & young child development and behavior
- Infant/young child & family‑centered practice
- Relationship‑based practice
A Master's degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field in Family Services. In addition, meets the New Mexico Care Licensing requirements for a Childcare Center Director and has five years of progressively responsible leadership in management and supervision in a Child Development Program serving children and families.
