The Cryptography, Privacy and Security Research (CrySPR) lab in the Computer Science Department at New Mexico State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the area of applied cryptography and blockchain-based decentralized finance. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a strong research record in applied cryptography, design of blockchain-enabled systems and blockchain-enabled decentralized finance. The project that supports this postdoc position is funded by the NSF and is about Layer 2 mechanisms including payment channel networks.
This project’s objectives are in solving fundamental research challenges in Layer 2 mechanisms and, in the process, designing novel cryptographic protocols of independent interest. The position requires on-campus presence and is not remote.
