Responsibilities

Mesilla Valley Hospital has been in operation since 1987, serving those in need of treatment for a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. MVH is a 120-bed facility providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. MVH is a leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services, with commitment to care through partnerships with medical-surgical hospitals, community mental health centers, educational institutions, managed care organizations, local health professionals and agencies.

Mesilla Valley Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Tele-Health Patient Care Coordinator.

The telehealth Patient Care Coordinator helps medical staff by providing secretarial tele-health assistance during patient care delivered via telecommunication. Acts as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth communication and coordination of care. Provides administrative support with access to forms, PHI, IT services, access to patients via tele-communication, filing, and ensuring the provider has all needed documents and access to the treatment team as needed.

The tele-health patient coordinator works with the medical staff assigned to the patient during tele-health services.

Education: High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; or a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Experience: One year of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred.

Work Hours: 8 hour shifts. PRN employees must work four shifts per month, one shift must include a weekend.
