Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front office or a similar capacity is preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems along with basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
- Ability to learn and adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient privacy rights are respected
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal communication skills; able to speak clearly and persuasively in various situations while listening attentively
- Proficient written communication skills; able to produce clear and grammatically correct written documents
- Team-oriented; willing to support colleagues as needed
- Professional demeanor; able to handle pressure with tact and treat all individuals with respect
- Effective problem-solving skills; capable of promptly identifying and resolving issues
- Commitment to ethical standards and adherence to company policies
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients arriving at the clinic or calling in
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Obtain necessary patient information and assist with form completion
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments for both initial visits and follow-ups
- Input patient data into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Address and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payments, and facilitate payment collection
- Screen incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate departments when necessary
- Verify insurance eligibility for patients
- Accept lab drop-offs from patients
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our team, serving as the first point of contact for our patients. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Sundays from 9 AM to 4 PM. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and support to our patients while maintaining a collaborative and professional working environment.
