Job Description
- Obtain and review supporting documentation
- Schedule patients, confirm appointments, reschedule no‑shows
- Create, fax detailed prescriptions for items being ordered
- Request signed detailed prescriptions
- Obtain prior authorizations
- Track all detailed prescriptions and prior authorizations (WIP)
- Obtain all proper documentation needed to bill claims
- Prepare items to be delivered for practitioner along with delivery slips
- Cross‑train with front office personnel
- Assist in answering phones
- Data entry
- Insurance verification
- Notify patients of all copays, deductibles, and out‑of‑pocket expenses they may be responsible for
