Job Description

  • Obtain and review supporting documentation
  • Schedule patients, confirm appointments, reschedule no‑shows
  • Create, fax detailed prescriptions for items being ordered
  • Request signed detailed prescriptions
  • Obtain prior authorizations
  • Track all detailed prescriptions and prior authorizations (WIP)
  • Obtain all proper documentation needed to bill claims
  • Prepare items to be delivered for practitioner along with delivery slips
  • Cross‑train with front office personnel
  • Assist in answering phones
  • Data entry
  • Insurance verification
  • Notify patients of all copays, deductibles, and out‑of‑pocket expenses they may be responsible for
