• Provides employee patient care in all patient care areas, including critical care. Performs patient assessment, establishes therapeutic objectives for patients, performs diagnostic and therapeutic measures including assisted ventilation by manual devices or mechanical ventilation. Coordinates therapeutic objectives with nursing personnel and fellow therapists in an effort to provide maximum benefit to the patient. The employee may assist with pulmonary functions, diagnostic testing and bronchoscopy.
  
  Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program approved by the NBRC.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  One year experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure:
  Must be currently licensed by the State of New Mexico as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must be registered with NBRC (RRT) within 6 months of hire. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NRP required.
