Behavioral Health Technician/Driver

La Clinica De Familia (LCDF) – a Federally Qualified Health Center in Southern New Mexico

Provides a combination of duties related to both driving and tech for the intensive outpatient program (IOP). The primary duties involve transportation of IOP patients to and from home and the program. Secondary duties include supporting the IOP therapist in monitoring and managing patients’ behaviors in IOP groups, implementing crisis de‑escalation techniques, ensuring a safe environment, and escorting patients to and from group rooms, restroom, and lobby.

• Demonstrate ability to work with multi-disciplinary adult recovery teams.
• Knowledge of New Mexico behavioral health systems.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Uses good judgment as it relates to client care.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, ethics and boundary issues.

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Have at least one year of relevant experience working with clients with substance or alcohol use.
