Job SummaryThe clinical supervisor is responsible for clinical and administrative oversight of the programs assigned. The supervisor will conduct individual supervision for assigned staff, review documentation for non-independently licensed staff, provide coaching and guidance on implementing effective interventions, support community service workers with potential crisis or staffing needs, coordinate with other supervisors in facilitating clinical group supervision, and participate in quality improvement and operational meetings.

- Knowledge of various modes of psychotherapy and evidence-based practices, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, group, and familial approaches.
- Skill in assessment procedures, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, and case management practices including follow-up and closure.
- Ability to establish therapeutic alliance with clients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public.
- Assess and incorporate culture into assessment and treatment processes.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Actively seek feedback and supervision, and engage in personal reflection and self-correction.
- Acknowledge impact of own feelings and cultural values on practice.
- Knowledge of ethical principles and state laws.
- Knowledge of and adhere to state reporting and regulatory guidelines.

- Assess for trauma and engage in trauma-informed practices.
- Formulate realistic, patient-centered treatment goals and evaluate progress toward goals.
- Knowledge of developmental needs of population served.
- Knowledge of methods of clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of program regulations, established agency policy and procedure, and applicable government or program contracts.
- Must be independently licensed in the State of New Mexico (LISW, LPCC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychiatrist or Psychologist).
- Have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
- Have a minimum of two years working with SMI/SED populations.
