Director of Pharmacy

A leading acute care hospital in New Mexico is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to oversee and optimize all pharmacy operations. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare pharmacist with acute care experience, strong operational acumen, and the ability to drive compliance, quality, and financial performance across the department.

• Lead all pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and staff performance
• Manage department budgets, financial reporting, and resource planning
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accreditation standards
• Oversee development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership on strategic goals
• Drive operational improvements and standardize pharmacy procedures

• Active or eligible New Mexico Pharmacist license
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required);
  Pharm
  
  D, MS, or MBA (preferred)
• 5+ years of healthcare pharmacy experience, with at least 2 in a leadership role
• Proven experience with budgeting, program development, and compliance
• Acute care hospital experience is required (retail/long-term care is not applicable)
• Strong communication, team leadership, and process improvement skills
• Prior for-profit hospital experience is a plus

• Salary: $110K–$160K base
