Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120‑bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intake Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for screening potential admissions and determining an appropriate level of care to recommend to the physicians. This position interfaces closely with the medical staff, fellow department heads and administration, treatment team, external case managers, managed care organizations, and also functions as a liaison with other hospital departments. The A&R RN will also strive to meet performance measures of Walk‑in triage time, Walk‑in Disposition time;
and e‑fax time. It also includes answering all incoming calls and determining medical stability of walk in and direct admission patients.
- EXPERIENCE/
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field, and possess a New Mexico Licensure as per the scope of services for each discipline, to complete behavioral health pre‑admission assessments. RN with a valid New Mexico licensure. A minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
