• Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician orders. Educate patients about procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition continually and respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enter, transmit and report scan results.

• Education
  :
  Associate's Degree Preferred;
  Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required.
• Licenses
  : ARRT Certified; MRI board certification Preferred;
  State Radiation Operators License.
• Certifications
  :
  Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
