This is a full‑time role that will work 4, 10‑hour shifts/week from 7 am to 5:30 pm. The role also includes a call requirement that is usually one weekend/month and a total of 10 days out of the month. On average, our on‑call employees come in about 10‑15% of the time they are on call.

This is an opportunity to work in a unit of four cath labs that averages about 57 cases/week. Our Cath Lab team is a close‑knit unit that has a strong relationship with the physicians who provide learning opportunities for the staff. We are regional leaders in best practices, programs and procedures that include TAVR, carotid stenting, PTAB, DBA and renal denervation.

• Performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab.
• Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned.
• Transports patients.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

• Education:
  
  Completion of an Allied Health training program (i.e., LPN, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assistant) or training can be substituted for five‑years' experience as an Invasive Vascular Tech or acute care clinical experience. RCIS certification preferred.
• Experience:
  
  One-year cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience preferred. Must be able to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment including assisting the physician during the actual catheterization procedure.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Licenses:
  If graduate of a Respiratory Therapy or LPN program, maintains current state license. If Medical Assistant, must have a current national MA certification.
