Provides assistance to medical staff during surgical cases by preparing operating rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment, performing necessary counts at the appropriate times, passing instruments to the surgeon during surgical procedures, and assisting with cleaning of the operating room. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric age groups.

Minimum Education:

High School graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a surgical technician school required.

Minimum Experience:

At least one year of experience in the operating room within an acute care facility. On‑call required.
