Surgical Tech-Operating Room and Perinatal Services
Description Surgical Tech provides assistance to medical staff during surgical cases by preparing operating rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment, performing necessary counts at the appropriate times, passing instruments to surgeon during surgical procedures, and assisting with cleaning of operating rooms. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment.
- Perform necessary counts at the appropriate times.
- Pass instruments to surgeon during surgical procedures.
- Assist with cleaning of operating rooms.
- Provide services to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
- Minimum Education: Graduate of a surgical technician school required.
- Minimum Experience: One year Surgical Tech experience required. On-call required.
