Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

MECA Therapies, LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team.

MECA Therapies is the largest pediatric rehabilitation provider in New Mexico, committed to providing high-quality care to families and children in our communities.

The OT will provide evaluation and treatment services to children aged birth to three with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions, in home and community settings.

Qualifications

To perform this role successfully, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure from the NM Board of Occupational Therapy
General Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train clients, families, and professionals
  • High confidentiality standards
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Essential Duties

The OT will operate within regulations and MECA policies, including but not limited to:

  • Administering assessments and participating in evaluations
  • Developing recommendations and presenting findings
  • Writing accurate evaluation reports
  • Gathering information from medical sources to inform treatment
  • Creating treatment plans and selecting appropriate modalities
  • Providing clear instructions and tracking progress
  • Offering feedback to families and planning for discharge
  • Participating in team meetings and fulfilling lead duties as assigned
  • Caseload and Productivity

    The OT will manage a caseload of 27 therapy hours weekly, providing services aligned with the child's IFSP, and achieving 90% productivity goals.

    Documentation

    Accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, TTCM meetings, and evaluations is required.

    Staff Development and Supervision

    The OT will support staff training, maintain licensure, and provide supervision for COTAs, interns, or observers as assigned.

    Quality Assurance

    The OT will ensure services are ethical, respectful, and compliant with policies and procedures.
