Job Description - Admissions Rep II-Admissions )
Responsibilities- Admissions Representative is responsible for directing patients and/or relatives, visitors, and promoting positive guest relations.
- Responsible for the Admissions/Registration, Pre-Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers of patients.
- Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information while collecting or making financial arrangements on co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay accounts.
- Obtains insurance authorizations and/or pre-certifications, and verifies insurance coverage and benefits.
- Assists with the development and implementation of the department's Performance Improvement Plan.
- Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Minimum Experience:
Five years experience conducting prior authorizations, insurance benefit verifications and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
