Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial functions of the facility. This position will manage the day-to‑day finance functions as well as prepare the monthly financial closing and related reporting for the manufacturing site. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial analysis in areas including forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.
The Finance Manager will interact with several levels of finance and businesses management and will be an essential strategic business partner to the Spices Business. The ideal candidate will provide accurate and timely information while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve as business partner and point of contact for the manufacturing team.
- Oversee statutory and management reporting for manufacturing site.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, analyze financial activities and performance against budget and recommend action as needed.
- Collaborate and provide analysis, modeling, and business support to enable informed decision-making.
- Perform/manage all aspects of the monthly close process to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analysis.
- Perform standard cost maintenance, production variance analysis, activity-based costing, and customer/product profitability.
- Update, in coordination with planning and production, bills of materials and costing routes.
- Direct internal review with key stakeholders.
- Review perpetual inventory, monitor cycle counts and physical inventories, and reporting of the same.
- In coordination with the tax department, determine and file the state and federal tax returns.
- Provide audit support to both internal and external teams.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, majors in finance, accounting or related field are preferred.
- Five (5) years’ accounting experience is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment is required.
- Strong attention to detail with superb organizational skills are required.
- Ability to build relationships and work well in a team‑oriented environment is required.
- Must be able to work with diverse teams across geographies.
