Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Specialist Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in cancer care? We are actively recruiting experienced and dedicated physicians to join our esteemed, fully accredited Cancer Center as part of our Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology team.
This role offers a chance to work in a state-of-the-art environment, supporting cutting-edge clinical trials and multidisciplinary collaboration, all while providing compassionate patient care. In this vital position, you will manage a diverse patient population, including new and follow-up cases, and provide essential consultation services. Your expertise will contribute to our comprehensive cancer treatment programs housed within a immediately accessible setting alongside radiation oncology and supported by a specialized team of pharmacists, medical assistants, and registered nurses.
Weekly tumor boards and participation in clinical trials will ensure your continuous professional growth and engagement in innovative treatments. Key Skills and
Qualifications:
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology Proven experience in cancer patient management Exceptional clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to handle a busy clinic with efficiency and compassion Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Mosiaq Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience with clinical trials (including 2s and 3s) management Previous exposure to multidisciplinary oncology teams Strong organizational skills for managing complex cases and documentation Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of post-residency or fellowship experience in oncology and hematology settings Other Requirements:
Availability for full-time coverage, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend call shifts 24-hour weekend call responsibilities (shared among providers) Licensure and certification in appropriate states and continuous education compliance Ability to adapt to a dynamic, innovative healthcare environment Willingness to direct communications through Locumsmart This position offers competitive hourly pay of $1.00 per hour, along with weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, and additional reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and related expenses.
