In this role, you will provide expert internal medicine consultation for hematology and oncology patients, oversee chemotherapy management, participate in weekly tumor boards, and support patients through clinical trials. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a state-of-the-art environment housed alongside radiation oncology services. Flexibility in scheduling, including full-time coverage, weekday hours, and weekend call, makes this an excellent position for those seeking a dynamic and rewarding practice setting.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Licensed to practice in the applicable state
- Proven experience with oncology and hematology patient management
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Mosiaq experience preferred)
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple patient interactions efficiently
Skills:
- Prior experience in a cancer center or similar outpatient setting
- Knowledge of clinical trial protocols
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and supportive care
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary team collaboration and tumor board participation
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of post-residency experience in hematology and oncology
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training in Hematology and Oncology
- Willingness to participate in rotating weekend call (24-hour availability)
- Support staff includes medical assistants and RNs for smooth clinic operations
- Willingness to utilize Mosiaq EMR system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
