Manufacturing Engineer (2 year fixed term)
Salary/Grade£35,119 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Benefits- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Up to 10% bonus
- Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%
- Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution.

This role requires 4 days a week on site.

Theopportunity
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Caterpillar (N.I.) situated s is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the Caterpillar Electric Power team. As a Manufacturing Engineer at Caterpillar, you will have an opportunity to provide the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines.
You will be involved in engineering change management to maintain safe, efficient, and stable factory operations in Larne. This role provides clear ownership of the engineering change process, coordinating across engineering and cross‑functional teams to ensure changes are fully assessed, planned, and smoothly introduced into production.
This role provides a great opportunity for the successful applicant to develop their abilities within an experienced team working on manufacturing engineering projects. The projects you’ll work on involve complex designs, with associated problems for which no precedents may exist, to meet customer specifications. You will be expected to complete projects with limited supervision.
What you will do- Develop, analyse and manage manufacturing / assembly projects.
- Assist in developing department capital and expense budgets.
- Support NPI’s, collaborating with engineering and other departments and ensuring smooth introduction into the factory.
- Coordinate Solution builds, collaborating with engineering and other departments and ensuring smooth introduction into the factory.
- Manage engineering changes in Larne, coordinating with engineering and other departments to ensure controlled and efficient introduction into the factory environment.
- Analyse bay performance including budget and developing / implmenting improvements.
