Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens

Pay Range: $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr

• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greet customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommend items for sale to customers, including trade‑ups and companion items.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
• Apply state and federal regulations when assisting the pharmacist under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medication, and checking for possible interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
• Assist with performing pharmacy clerical duties, including manual claims processing for third‑party prescription services.
• Support Pharmacy Department inventory management activities (ordering, unpacking, checking, storing pharmaceuticals, and filing warehouse claims).
• Ensure compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
• Conduct promotional and seasonal displays, resets, and resections as directed.
• Assist with food items segregation, stock rotation, and product placement.
• Use store equipment and systems as required and maintain a safe, neat, and orderly store condition.
• Provide customer service in the photo area (passport, poster, and creative machine).
• Monitor and fulfill pickup orders (Picture Care Plus), delivering orders to customers arriving at the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
