Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Animal Welfare & Intake Counselor to join our animal shelter team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference for people and animals in the community!
Responsibilities- Provide daily care for shelter animals, including cleaning, feeding, and maintaining kennels.
- Perform physically demanding work such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Serve as a supportive point of contact for individuals surrendering pets.
- Assist adopters in finding the right companion.
- Collect accurate behavioral and medical histories during intake.
- Provide compassionate guidance regarding relinquishment and humane euthanasia options.
- Collaborate with medical and animal welfare teams to ensure smooth intake.
- Obtain Humane Euthanasia Technician certification within 6 months (training provided).

- Previous animal handling experience a plus!
