Per Diem PACU/ Operating Room RN – Ophthalmology

We are looking for an experienced OR Nurse [or Surgical Tech] to join St. Michael's Surgery Center in Largo on a per diem basis.

• Advanced Equipment:
  We invest heavily in our facility. You'll be working with complex, top-tier technology, including Zeiss Opmi Lumera surgical microscopes and Centurion Cataract Vision Systems.
• Smooth Workflow:
  Ophthalmology is high-volume, but our team is experienced and well-coordinated. We run a tight schedule in a modern, 7,500 square-foot facility.

• Circulate [or scrub] for a variety of ophthalmic procedures, including complex cataracts, corneal transplants, eye shunt implants, and retinal surgeries.
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and efficient environment in the OR.
• Assist with pre-op and PACU flow, including patient assessment and discharge.
• Work closely with our surgeons and dedicated clinical team to keep the surgical day moving safely.

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience. (Ophthalmology experience is preferred, but we are happy to train someone with strong OR fundamentals).
• Active, unencumbered FL RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Strong pacing—you need to be comfortable in a fast-turnaround environment and work well as part of a close-knit team.
