Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Pinellas County, FL, requiring OASIS training, infusion experience, and a valid FL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients,

• Caseload of 6-8 home visits per day,

• Patient care includes cardiopulmonary assessment, basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx/Asept drain care, Foley catheter care and changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line or midline care and dressing changes,

• Patient population includes high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure (HF), COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as general medical diagnoses and post-op care,

• Schedule varies based on office needs:
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, or Thurs-Mon / Fri-Tues shifts with alternating weekend shifts,

• Equipment provided includes a laptop, MiFi internet device, and portable printer,

• Documentation systems used:
Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet,

Job Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,

• Skilled home health experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted,

• OASIS training and experience required,

• Infusion experience required,

• IV skills and wound care experience required,

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits,

• COVID vaccination required, or exemption form on file,

• Flu shot required or signed declination on file (mask required at all times if declined),

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the Home Care office,

• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable,

• Mandatory mask wearing at all times while on the job if flu shot is declined
