Schedule: Monday Friday
1st Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Duration: 3 months with potential temp-to-hire
The Compounding Operator produces resin batches by following detailed formulations and operating compounding equipment. This role ensures materials are mixed accurately, equipment runs properly, and finished products meet quality standards.

Proper equipment operation prevents downtime and production delays.
Strong quality checks reduce waste and defective product.
Prepare resin batches using formulation sheets and mix instructions.
Load ribbon blenders and drum tumblers with correct materials and quantities.
Operate, start up, and shut down 40mm and 60mm compo under lines and water systems.
Weigh, package, and label finished products according to work orders.
Disassemble compounders for screen changes and cleaning.
Perform basic maintenance on compounders, pelletizers, dryers, and water systems.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems as needed.
Inspect finished product for visual defects and initiate corrective actions.
Sample compound and mold ASTM test slabs for required work orders.
Record production and quality data in the CMPC system.
Complete production paperwork including work orders, manufacturing forms, and inventory tickets.
Communicate equipment status and production updates during shift changes.
Assist in training team members on proper procedures and techniques.
Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to management.
Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs using proper techniques.
May require stooping, kneeling, reaching, or climbing stairs.
Production environment with loud noise, temperature changes, and possible exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to complete production documentation accurately.
Experience with compounders or injection molding equipment preferred.
Must obtain forklift certification.
