An assembler's job is to put parts together to create a finished product. They use hand tools, machines, and blueprints to ensure that parts are aligned and fit correctly. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and schematics Use hand tools and machines to assemble parts Position and align parts using hoists or manually Maintain equipment and conveyors Perform basic repairs Inventory tools, parts, and supplies Check products for quality and uniform completion Resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor Maintain logs, records, and reports Collaborate with other employees on the assembly line Skills and requirements Strong eye-hand coordination Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to a certain weight Ability to work with a wide variety of part sizes and weights Extensive dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movement Ability to read and understand written instructions Basic arithmetic skill
