A Clinic Supervisor is a highly engaged leader with strong business acumen, focused on developing a patient‑focused, goal‑oriented team.
Essential Responsibilities- Execute day‑to‑day operations, including employee scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and staff training.
- Provide guidance on optical equipment usage, medical chart handling, insurance and billing, lens selection, policies, procedures, and software.
- Compile operational reports to gain insight into business performance and direct improvement actions.
- Lead the office by supporting staff through coaching and guidance.
- Ensure quality of care standards, fostering a culture of superior patient care.
- Enhance processes and workflow to increase office efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with Practice Manager and HR on employee relations and recruitment.
- Work with other Clinical Supervisors and Managers to develop creative improvement approaches.
- Engage in constructive conversations with employees to address improvement areas and follow up.
- Train employees on delivering a world‑class patient experience.
- Act as liaison between staff and Corporate management.
- Motivate staff with positive communication and support.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Professional interaction with employees at all levels.
- Fair and compassionate leadership.
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
- Initiative in achieving practice goals.
- Creates a positive, team‑oriented, patient‑focused environment.
- Reliable transportation to multiple locations.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet business needs.
- Positive background check.
- Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
- Minimum:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. - Minimum: 2 years of management in ophthalmology/optometry or related industry experience.
- Preferred:
Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
