Job Summary

A Clinic Supervisor is a highly engaged leader with strong business acumen, focused on developing a patient‑focused, goal‑oriented team.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Execute day‑to‑day operations, including employee scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and staff training.
  • Provide guidance on optical equipment usage, medical chart handling, insurance and billing, lens selection, policies, procedures, and software.
  • Compile operational reports to gain insight into business performance and direct improvement actions.
  • Lead the office by supporting staff through coaching and guidance.
  • Ensure quality of care standards, fostering a culture of superior patient care.
  • Enhance processes and workflow to increase office efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Practice Manager and HR on employee relations and recruitment.
  • Work with other Clinical Supervisors and Managers to develop creative improvement approaches.
  • Engage in constructive conversations with employees to address improvement areas and follow up.
  • Train employees on delivering a world‑class patient experience.
  • Act as liaison between staff and Corporate management.
  • Motivate staff with positive communication and support.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum:
    High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum: 2 years of management in ophthalmology/optometry or related industry experience.
Licenses and Credentials
  • Preferred:
    Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification.
Systems and Technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
