Overview
Directions for Living is an essential services provider. This field position focuses on case management within the Housing First Division and Targeted Prevention services for families with dependent children at risk of becoming street homeless due to eviction or loss of housing.
Responsibilities- Provide case management interventions that increase skills related to managing mental health and substance use issues and housing stability.
- Utilize natural supports, community supports, and input/resources from other community partners or professional agencies.
- Deliver services using trauma-informed care principles and address how trauma impacts family functioning; apply trauma resolution skills.
- Ensure services are culturally and linguistically competent and tailored to the family’s unique culture.
- Conduct case management in community settings convenient for youth and family.
- Maintain an annual client-facing care hours target (minimum 1410 hours annually) and adhere to weekly, monthly, and annual requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field; minimum of three years of experience in street outreach, crisis intervention, case management, and supportive interventions for individuals experiencing street homelessness.
- Must become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator in high fidelity Wraparound within 3 months of employment; preference for those already certified.
- Knowledge of community resources for individuals living street homeless.
- Computer literacy: proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word; ability to work in Windows environment and document in two systems on the same day.
- Reliable transportation with valid Florida Driver License and automobile insurance; clean driving record.
- Medical (100% employer paid for employees only), Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term and Long Term Disability.
- 5 days of Paid Time Off.
- 16 Paid Wellness Days and Holidays, including the week of Christmas off.
- Salary: $31.25 per hour.
Directions for Living is an essential services provider. The organization may require employees to provide vital support in emergencies, pandemics, or disasters. This is a field position.
