Position SummaryThe Therapy Front Representative is responsible for all aspects of the front‑end office functions from greeting the patient on the first visit through the final visit or areas include benefit verification and authorization, patient financial responsibility collection, chart maintenance, scheduling, end‑of‑day reconciliation,strotherand and follow‑up on all business‑office related functions regarding therapy visits.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, customer service skills, and preferably experience in a medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Excellent Customer Service at all times.
- Obtain therapy benefits for all patients walk over splints for patients.
- Monitor current therapy prescriptions for expired or fulfilled therapy prescriptions.
- Retrieve voice messages and ensure all calls are returned promptly and professionally.
- Ensure good communication with Therapist’s regarding all patient matters.
- Contact any patients that should be advised of issues regarding their insurance such as: terminated coverage, therapy visits not authorized, etc in advance before the patient’s appointment.
- Keep work area tidy free from clutter always.
- Check and respond to all voicemail messages.
- Cross train in all therapy front desk areas.
- Attend and participate in the monthly staff and FD meetings in your clinic.
- Perform job duties with professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Ensures that all tasks are completed before leaving at the end of your schedule shift.
- Acknowledge and greet all patients upon arrival to the Therapy department.
- Collect all co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles at the time services are rendered.
- Explain in detail all new patient paperwork including benefits to all new patients.
- Follow up on all inactive patients.
- Call patients from the Athena orders.
- Schedule all Therapy New and Established patients per the Therapy Plan of Care.
- Communicate well with patients, visitors, and all FOI team members.
- Complete Chart Discharge procedures and prepare for Medical Records.
- Distribute and Collect Mail 2 times a day.
- All other duties as assigned.
