We are currently recruiting for a Food & Nutrition Clerk (Food Service Assistant) to join our team. In this role you will assist Dietitians in screening new admissions, maintain accurate computer records, process and modify patient menus, and provide effective communication with patients and families. You will also participate in meal services and other production duties as needed.

• Assist Dietitians in screening of all new admissions and obtaining food preferences.
• Maintain computer systems accurately.
• Process, modify, collect, and check patient menus.
• Participate in meal services and/or other production related duties as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with patient and families to ensure they are informed of additional food item availability.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with the dietary team.

• Knowledge of basic principles of nutrition; modified diets preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a Diet Tech strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Strong customer service and listening skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
