  • Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, E/O Sat 7:30 am- 12pm

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant Lead with a passion for pediatric care. The successful candidate will have 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting and past supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Lead will assist the Practice Manager in overseeing daily clinical operations, ensure quality patient care, and support clinicians and care management teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting practice manager and PA management in training, development, and competency evaluation of Medical Assistant staff
  • Maintaining high-quality patient experience and ensuring a safe patient environment
  • Performing and documenting patient intake vitals and preparing patients for clinician examination
  • Assisting clinicians with necessary age-appropriate vision, hearing screenings, and other procedures
  • Performing vaccine and medication reconciliation and administration
Qualifications

Education: Medical foreign doctors must have a Bachelor of Science degree in General Medicine from a regionally accredited university or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting required. 2 years as a PA Medical Assistant preferred.

Licensure / Certification: MA Diploma/Certification required or a minimum of 3 years of MA experience will be commensurate with Diploma/Certification requirement. MA Certification preferred. Active BLS certification required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, ability to lead and influence change, and knowledge of basic medical terminology and immunization.

Working Conditions

Patient-facing, direct patient care, with occasional travel to other office locations. Must be able to lift 20 lbs or less, push/pull 41-200 lbs, and operate a computer.
