Working Title:

GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT II

The incumbent will dedicate 100% of their time to service delivery activities that include:

• Monitoring and reviewing Child Care Food Program contractors’ program compliance within a defined geographic region of Florida, completing written reports within required time frames and conducting follow-up monitoring as needed.
• Providing technical assistance, training, guidance and counsel to contractors, including interpretation of program requirements, liaison between contractors and the program office, and new contractor training for prospective centers, homeless shelters and after school meal programs.
• Assisting contractors in the preparation of applications, reviewing accuracy and completeness and forwarding to the Department for approval.
• Representing the Bureau as a primary witness in administrative hearings.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Four years of professional experience in systems analysis, program planning, research or evaluation.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Medium travel required and ability to work during or beyond normal work hours in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of federal and state Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations, child nutrition, data compilation and analysis, and standard computer software.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational and independent work skills.
