* • Ability work with CST Cable Studio and CST expertise
• Comfortable with cable construction details
• Comfortable running circuit simulations with 3D models as well as 3D Field simulations in both time domain and frequency domain
• LTSPICE expertise:

• Ability to build simulations with parasitic values based on estimations from schematics
• Ability to relate transient signals from CST simulations to circuit input
• Understanding of Thevenin equivalent sources
• Electromagnetics:

• Deep understanding of general antenna theory as applied to apertures (wave guides) and cable coupling (monopole antennas) from EMI transients
• General understanding of the implications of Maxwell’s equations and how they describe EMI emissions and coupling
• Circuit design:

• Expert in low to medium frequency filter design
• Ability to simulate layouts for trace impedance and coupling from nearby traces / wires
• General knowledge of Power Supply circuitry, filters, digital I/O, RF devices – knowledge is applicable in determining limits for transients and appropriate filter implementation for protection against EMI transients
