Substitute Teacher (Currently reviewing applicants with prior teaching experience and/or certification, school counselors, and education majors).

Minimum
Educational Requirements:
60 College Credit Hours (Please see job description for specific requirements).
Application Requirements:
- 1 Professional Reference for work or volunteer work within the last year
- Work/life history for the last 10 years or since high school graduation
- Official college transcripts from an accredited college or university with at least 60 college credit hours
Unofficial transcripts can be scanned into your application. Official transcripts can be brought to the processing appointment, emailed directly from the university, or mailed to Human Resources.
- Former PCS Teachers:
If you provide a copy of your Florida Educator's Certificate or valid Statement of Eligibility, we can accept a copy of your official transcripts because this verifies that an official transcript has been received by the DOE in Tallahassee.
Official electronic college/university transcripts are to be directly issued by the college/university to the intended recipient name:

On completion of the application with transcripts uploaded and all references received, email Sub Docs with subject line INST SUB- APP COMPLETE to continue the hiring process.
Once Application Approved
The Substitute Placement Office will contact you to schedule your onboarding appointment.
The substitute must:
- Complete the Active Threat Assessment online prior to accepting a substitute assignment.
- Work a minimum of 4 days per month (2 days on Fridays and Mondays)
- Work the hours in the Frontline Absence Management/Aesop System
- Complete the job as listed in the Teacher Substitute Job Description
