A well-established architecture firm based in Largo, Florida is seeking a Licensed Architect to join its growing team. This firm specializes in the design of senior living communities, assisted living facilities, and multifamily residential projects throughout Florida and the Southeast.
With a strong portfolio focused on age-restricted housing and care environments, the firm is known for creating thoughtful, code-compliant, and functional spaces that enhance quality of life for residents while meeting the operational needs of owners and operators. Their projects range from ground-up developments to renovations and repositioning of existing communities.
Position OverviewThe Licensed Architect will play a key role in leading and supporting projects from design development through construction administration. This individual will collaborate closely with internal team members, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with regulatory requirements specific to senior living and multifamily construction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead architectural design and documentation for senior living, assisted living, and multifamily projects
- Prepare and oversee construction drawings and technical detailing
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with Florida Building Code and applicable healthcare regulations
- Support permitting processes and respond to plan review comments
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to project strategy
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
- 5+ years of architectural experience, preferably within senior living, assisted living, or multifamily sectors
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Solid understanding of Florida Building Code and accessibility standards
- Experience navigating AHCA or healthcare-related regulatory environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
