Primary Responsibilities:
As the Accounting Coordinator, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of daily financial transactions.
- Full-Cycle Invoicing & AR: Generate and distribute accurate daily invoices to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Accounts Payable Management: Handle transaction coding and processing, manage vendor interfaces, and oversee check distribution and vendor files.
- Payroll Administration: Generate and distribute weekly contractor and bi-weekly employee timecards while supporting overall payroll processing requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Support weekly and monthly reporting requirements by generating necessary reports and performing account reconciliations.
- Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Interface with various departments to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues related to invoicing and accounts payable.
- Records & Systems Maintenance: Maintain precise electronic and paper records to support continuous improvement and paperless office initiatives.
- Professional Experience: One or more years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Industry Background: Prior experience working in an accounting role within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software packages, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills.
- Education: High School diploma required; an Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered).
- Soft Skills: Must possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Independence: The ability to work independently with minimal guidance, requiring strong time management and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work well in diverse teams as both a leader and an individual contributor.
- Commitment: Ability to work within strict reporting deadlines; overtime may be required during peak reporting periods.
