- Two (2) years of professional employment experience in accounting, fiscal and/or financial management areas.
- Proficiency in the use of computer applications;
Microsoft Excel/Office and Internet. - Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.
- Experience with Government accounting, FLAIR, ARIBA/My Florida Market Place (MFMP).
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel.
- Participation in the preparation and reconciliation of trial balance accounts.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with performing fiscal studies, analyzing acquired data, and making recommendations on course of action based on that study.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper and timely completion of work assignments, including multiple and complex projects.
- Working knowledge and/or accounting experience with the State of Florida government or county/city experience.
This is a professional and independent accounting position performing work involving independent application of a variety of accounting skills to a major phase of the financial/accounting and general program of Florida is For Veterans, Inc. (FIFV). The incumbent is responsible for performing state financial / accounting and general activities for FIFV, as required to ensure compliance with state and federal applicable laws.
This position also supports other fiscal activities and property accounting of the agency.

- Support Florida is for Veterans, Inc. (FIFV) staff as it relates to the operational budget allocated to our department.
- Coordinate and process the annual advance payment and monthly invoices to FIFV.
- Assist in the special research and analysis projects as required.
- Assist in preparation of fiscal month end and year-end analysis and reconciliations.
- Performs as back up to Professional Accountant for grant and CIP-related responsibilities.
- Back up the division My Florida Market Place Requester — Ordering of office supplies and other miscellaneous purchase (seminars, furniture, training, etc.).
- Maintain and update the monthly cash flows spreadsheets for the agency.
- Prepare cash positions reports and related month end cash balance reports.
- Prepare Investment Interest by 15th of the month.
- Assist the Professional Accountant Specialist for property accounting maintenance and physical inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
LANGUAGE:
English proficiency, verbal and written.

Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures; excellent communication skills (written and verbal); excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.); highly motivated and works well in a team environment; strong organizational skills.
