Purpose of Position

The Pilot provides a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a safety record second to none on every flight. The Pilot is the face of Net Jets, delivering technically accurate and safe transportation as well as an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets Owner and passenger. The role requires wearing many hats, from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider, and demands full command of the aircraft with a professional demeanor at all times.

Tasks

and Responsibilities

• Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, take‑off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets FOM or AOM, and SOPs. Greet Owners/passengers pre‑flight, provide introductions, brief them on the specific flight/trip, verify itinerary, and offer weather updates and safety briefings.
• Deliver in‑flight service as required, including handling alcohol and catering service.
• Load and properly stow baggage on the aircraft.
• Manage flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
• Serve as the final authority on the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidance.
• Act as a liaison for Owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO until final departure.
• Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center and complete related paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on the assignment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

• At least 21 years of age.
• 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 with an R‑ATP certificate, or 1,000 with military or university R‑ATP, or 1,000 with appropriate university R‑ATP.
• 200 hours cross‑country (>50 nm) flight time.
• 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC.
• 100 hours of night flying, or 75 with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
• 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in‑flight, excludes simulator time).
• ATP written completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training.
• 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time.
• Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
• Valid passport.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
• Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Extreme flexibility and rapid change adaptation.
• Manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times.
• Duty may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning time zones and weather variations.
• On‑duty travel may involve staying in hotels for seven or more consecutive days/nights.
• Secure airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
• Pass TSA background screening and obtain necessary badges.
• Valid U.S. passport for international travel.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking.
• Service‑oriented with a neat, well‑groomed appearance and strong passenger interaction skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Make quick and accurate decisions with attention to technical and passenger service details.
• Handle lifting up to 50 lb occasionally, 30 lb frequently, 10 lb constantly.
• Work with animals and provide care before, during, and after Owner flights.
• Conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range

$86,015 – $117,706
