Our Houston headquarters manages a large fleet of tow trucks and support vehicles that keep our operations moving efficiently.

Position

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain, repair, and inspect our tow truck fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience with both diesel and gasoline engines, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance to keep our vehicles in top operating condition.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of tow trucks, light-duty, and medium-duty vehicles.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance services (oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, fluid checks, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records for each vehicle in the fleet.
  • Order and maintain necessary parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and yard.
  • Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize vehicle downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic (fleet or heavy-duty truck experience a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Own set of basic tools.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in various weather conditions
