Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a part time Ball Park Groundskeeper for ASM Global/Sames Auto Arena. This position is responsible for responsible for performing grounds, turf and landscape maintenance assigned by the Head and Assistant Groundskeeper.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform turf and landscape activities such as such as dragging the infield for in-game maintenance, raking, tamping and watering the playing field.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of irrigation system.
• Assist with the set up and removal of batting practice equipment.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Assist in the placement and removal of the infield tarp during inclement weather.
• Assist with cleanup and maintenance of tools, equipment and the shop work area.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time on hard-surface floor.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to recognize and use simple hand-held, manual and power tools needed for performance of general maintenance duties.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years janitorial/custodial experience required.
• Good leadership and communication skills necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

• Skills and knowledge to perform routine manual and physical tasks regularly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and consistent punctuality.
• Ability to operate grounds equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
