Assists with general maintenance and cleaning for buildings and grounds. Performs semi‑skilled work to support facilities including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job‑related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Performs general building and grounds maintenance work; cleans, disinfects, and maintains restrooms; maintains equipment used to perform work.
- Paints walls and fixtures; moves chairs and tables to set‑up special group meetings and trainings.
- Assists in the maintenance of air‑conditioners and heating systems in accordance with accepted practices and procedures; performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Performs carpentry activities including painting and masonry work as needed.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
