We currently manage 5.6 million square feet of warehouse space, strategically located throughout the US, with facilities in Los Angeles, CA;
Chicago, IL, N. Monroe, NJ;
Portland, OR;
Houston, TX; and Laredo, TX.

The SQF & Safety Clerk supports food safety (SQF) and workplace safety programs at the Laredo facilities. This role works directly on the warehouse floor and with site leadership to support audits, training, inspections, and safety initiatives.

This is a hands‑on role focused on compliance, employee engagement, and promoting a proactive safety culture.

• SQF / Food Safety
  • Support SQF and food safety programs at the site
  • Perform GMP and food safety inspections
  • Maintain food safety documentation and records
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Track corrective actions and follow‑ups
  • Assist with food safety, GMP, food defense, and food fraud training
• Food Safety & Security
  • Follows food safety and security procedures
  • Identifies and responds to potential food safety concerns within assigned authority
  • Reports potentially unsafe or compromised food products per established procedures
• Safety
  • Supports employee site safety programs and initiatives
  • Perform safety inspections and observations
  • Assist with incident and near‑miss documentation
  • Support safety audits and corrective actions
  • Promote safe work practices on the warehouse floor
• Training & Culture
  • Assist with development and delivery of safety and SQF trainings
  • Conduct employee training and refreshers
  • Work with supervisors and leadership to promote a proactive safety culture
  • Support safety and compliance initiatives
• Documentation
  • Maintain organized SQF and safety records
  • Prepare reports and training materials
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create professional documents/trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience or interest in safety and/or food safety
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Highly communicative, with the ability to effectively engage with employees, supervisors, and leadership across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

• Experience with SQF, GMPs, or food safety
• Safety experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Audit or inspection experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Warehouse and office environment
• May require walking, inspections, and training on the floor
• Supports SQF and Safety activities across multiple warehouse locations.
