Position: Admissions Counselor I (Admissions)
* Disseminate undergraduate admissions information to prospective students and visitors.
* Advises prospective students about admissions and registration requirements, academic programs, support services, and federal, state and university policies/procedures.
* Assist students throughout the application process for record completion and registration.
* Process domestic and international undergraduate applications and required documents for University admissions.
* Assist with transferring data from multiple technological platforms and upload electronic data such as admissions applications, high school and college/university transcripts, SAT and ACT scores into the student information system.
* Run reports to verify data entry accuracy and perform data checks for completed and enrolled student records.
* Participate in local/regional outreach efforts for undergraduate prospective students, and increase involvement in additional enrollment management processes.
* ** Education** – Bachelor’s degree
* ** Experience** – No prior experience required.
* Two or more years of experience in student services, advising, retention, public relations, customer service or other related area.
* Experience using Banner Student Information System, Word, Excel, Degree Works, Laserfiche.
* Customer Service and data management experience in higher education.
* Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* General office and division practices and procedures.
* Admissions functions of higher education.
* Interact effectively and professionally with the general public and students.
* Plan, organize, and perform tasks accurately and independently.
* Must possess strong time-management skills.
* Maintain confidentiality and abide by federal, state, system and institutional rules and regulations
* Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
