We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Texas. This opportunity begins on Apr 1, 2026, and spans a 36-day contract, offering a flexible schedule in a free-standing emergency department with 24-hour physician coverage and advanced practitioner support. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical services in a free-standing emergency department
  • Manage a diverse range of acute and urgent cases for patients of all ages
  • Collaborate with advanced practitioners and other healthcare staff to deliver coordinated patient care
  • Utilize on-site lab, radiology, and CT services for diagnostics and treatment
  • Ensure clinical documentation meets facility and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all protocols and quality assurance guidelines

Additional Information

  • Active Texas medical license and DEA (with Texas address) required
  • Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (or osteopathic equivalents); must be residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine specialty certification
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Must provide CME and case logs for the past 2 years, all education and training diplomas, Social Security card, driver’s license, and color photo
  • TB/Flu clearance required
  • Annual requirements include 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME
