Job Type: Full-time
We are currently seeking a qualified Building Inspector to perform inspections for commercial, residential, and public facilities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and construction regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspections with current ICC certifications; TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License required in Texas.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards across disciplines.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans and comparing them effectively with ongoing work.
- Well-organized in record keeping and willing to learn new inspection or permitting software.
- Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations; report discrepancies and potential issues.
- Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local jurisdictions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare clear, timely reports based on observations and materials used or delivered.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns from clients and contractors, and offering practical solutions.
- Participate in company meetings and training; may assist in guiding or supervising junior staff as needed.
- $60,000 - $90,000 yearly salary, depending on work experience and certifications held
