An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic team within the Clinical Assessment Unit.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, caring and hard working Registered Nurse to become a Senior Charge Nurse as part of a multidisciplinary team. A high level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential. You must demonstrate an appetite for ongoing learning and be able to provide evidence of your professional development.

The candidate must be keen to participate and contribute significantly to the development of the rapidly evolving assessment unit within Forth Valley. Your experience must demonstrate that you are a Clinical expert in Acute Nursing and able to provide clinical leadership and expert advice to the nursing team, through support and education. The candidate will also be expected to lead surveillance and audit and support the Lead Nurse with the core dimensions set out in Leading Better Care.

The successful candidate will be joining the senior leadership team of CAU at an exciting time of change as the acute care service responds to the needs of the population of Forth Valley to deliver an exceptional quality of urgent and unscheduled acute care. Being flexible to work as the situation and service requires, would be an essential aspect of this post.

You should be educated to/working towards/operating at Degree level with significant experience working at a senior level in an acute setting.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
